How to "Cash Flow" Your RapidPakRx Purchase

As a pharmacist, your #1 goal is to improve patient health. Meanwhile, you want to increase your customer satisfaction. But in 2020, it's getting harder and harder to do that, while supporting a sustainable business. The key to improving the health of your patients, while improving the health of your bottom line, is improving patient adherence.

And what's the #1 way to improve patient adherence? Compliance packaging. But if you've ever tried blister cards, you've probably run into two major problems: (a) it's labor intensive and costly; and (b) it doesn't scale, allowing you to serve a lot of patients. If you've experienced this, you're ready for strip packaging automation. That may sound intimidating, but don't worry. We broken it down the process for you into three, bite-sized steps:

  1. Migrate your existing patients to strip packaging
  2. Add vitamins/supplements to strip packaging (where appropriate)
  3. Add new patients who are actively seeking compliance packaging

Watch the video below for a quick primer on how to cash-flow this approach.

Pharmacy owners are growing profitable with strip packaging

North Star Pharmacy“With the RapidPakRx, now everything's a lot less paper, a lot less headache, a lot less frustration. And so we've definitely increased our efficiency and proficiency to getting scripts out the door. We do spend a lot less time on pharmacist time and technician time to do this. And the nice thing too about the RapidPakRx with it all being all-in-one, you've got that picture that it automatically takes so that you can look at the strips right then and there on the spot. Beforehand, it was a separate machine altogether so you had extra cost that way. This is all-in-one and it just flows a lot better. So we calculate it over time. The estimated cost per patient was probably with our previous machine, $11 to $12 more expensive to dispense because of the time involved versus the RapidPakRx, which is maybe $1.25. So it'd be just almost the equivalent of putting regular pills into a bottle and labeling that bottle and getting it out the door."

"RapidPakRx has changed the way we do pharmacy. We’ve seen our sync program triple in size since installing the RapidPakRx in December 2018. Our CVS Caremark performance scores are through the roof! This machine will pay for itself in two years just from saved DIR fees."

"Most of these patients are on 10 or more meds. So we're generating some good revenue, anywhere from a $200-$500 s a month, depending on what medications they're on. So it's definitely a moneymaker. I'll recommend RapidPakRx to anyone that's doing adherence packaging, or just wanting to increase workflow and efficiency times, save time, save some dollars on your inventory. It's a good investment and it's well worth it"
