Celebrating Dave Lang: 48 Years, One Remarkable Career

After 48 years, Dave Lang is retiring. If you've spent time around GSE, Avery Weigh-Tronix, ITW, or Eyecon, chances are you've worked with him or felt his influence. This Friday, August 14th, is Dave's last day, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize everything he's contributed over the years.

A Career That Shaped Businesses

Dave played a key role in the success of several businesses across our organization. When we acquired the GSE Weigh Indicator line in 2009, Dave served as Engineering Manager and led the engineering and manufacturing integration efforts.

From there, he took ownership of a brand-new product called Eyecon. As Product Manager from its inception, Dave helped shape Eyecon into the trusted, industry-leading solution it is today, drawing on his technical expertise, product knowledge, and genuine commitment to customers.

More Than an Engineer

Over the years, Dave attended hundreds of trade shows, traveled countless miles visiting pharmacies and customers across the country, and served as a go-to technical expert and support resource for customers and coworkers alike.

He's also a mentor, a leader, and a friend to the people who've worked alongside him. That's the part we'll remember most.

On to the Next Chapter

Dave's next chapter includes more time with his wife Michelle, more time with his grandkids, more trails to hike, and no doubt a few new adventures along the way. We'll miss him, and we're genuinely happy for him as he heads into retirement.
