After a long absence from live pharmacy events in 2020 and early 2021, RxSafe was excited to attend the 2021 Western Pharmacy Exchange (WPE)! We would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's WPE.
Presented by the California Pharmacists Association (CPhA) and considered the West Coast's largest premier pharmacy tradeshow, this year's WPE was held at the Hyatt Regency in Indian Wells, CA from June 18-20.
CPhA All-Access Palm Spring Experience
Despite temperatures of 119 degrees over the weekend, the "All-Access Palm Spring Experience" for live participants was sold out early, with 300 people attending the event in person. 
This year's WPE featured fully virtual continuing education sessions, where attendees had a chance to earn up to 20 hours of CEs on topics as diverse as gene therapy, digital patient care, and specialty pharmacy medication costs.
Day one of the event was capped by the California Pharmacists Association Hall of Fame Banquet, to honor inductees to mark the association's 25th anniversary.
RxSafe Product Theater
Day two of WPE featured RxSafe's Product Theater presentation, which included a special 20-minute video of Rxy The Robot explaining the importance of improving patient adherence and how it can boost a pharmacy's bottom line. The session was followed by 10-minute live Q&A led by Dianne Ahlquist, West Coast Sales Manager for RxSafe.

Throughout the event, Anish Patel, RxSafe's Implementation Manager, facilitated live demonstrations of our RapidPakRx pouch packaging system.
Continuing Education Sessions
Day three of WPE concluded with more online CE sessions. Notable presentations included Type 2 diabetes patient management, emerging telemedicine and digital therapeutics trends, and immunization best practices and vaccine hesitancy management in pharmacy.
